The music program at Brighton Catholic Primary School is based on the Kodaly method of teaching music. From Pre-Primary, students are taught basic Solfege (do, re, mi) using Curwen hand signs and basic Kodaly rhythm. From Year 3 students are introduced to the recorder and from Year 5 students start to learn the ukulele.
Singing is a big part of our music program and the school has a choir, participates in the Catholic Performing Arts and One Big Voice at the RAC Perth Arena. To add to the music education we offer after school music lessons through West Coast Music
